Take in a Show at the Historical Sellersville Theater near Heritage Greene

The Sellersville Theater may be smaller than other venues in the area, but the quality of its special events and caliber of the performers it attracts bring people from all over to this modest local theater. For more than 100 years, the theater and its sister business, The Washington House restaurant (which is literally right next door), have offered the perfect pairing of dinner and a show to locals and out-of-towners alike.

Though the theater's been renovated over the years, it still exudes the same small-town charm as it did a century ago. Yet many relatively contemporary musicians come here to play. From popular '90s singer-songwriter Edwin McCain to Shawn Colvin to eclectic tribute bands, its calendar holds something for everyone. That includes performances appropriate for families, like Aesop's Fables acted out by puppets, as well as classic movie screenings and other special events.
