Have you been to the Sellersville Theater lately? This classic performing arts space is just a short drive away from Heritage Orchard Hill, and it hosts a full slate of fun events each and every month. This August, for instance, the space will host live music, stand-up comedy, and even a few events perfect for foodies. Here are a few of the highlights:

National Filet Mignon Day
Thursday, August 13 from 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate National Filet Mignon Day at the adjacent Washington House restaurant, a cozy eatery which blends a classic ambiance with a menu of fine food. The restaurant will celebrate National Filet Mignon Day with its own take on the tasty dish: a skewered steak served with horseradish sauce. (Can't make National Filet Mignon Day? The Washington House also has weekly Sunday Brunch events plus special celebrations of National Potato Day on August 19 and National Whiskey Sour Day on August 25!)

The Capitol Steps
Saturday, August 8 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

With its satirical songs, The Capitol Steps has become one of the best-known comedy acts in Washington, D.C. The group will stage two performances at the Sellersville Theater on August 8: an afternoon show at 3 p.m. and an evening engagement happening at 8.

All About Elvis
Sunday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Commemorating The King's death in August 1977, this event pairs a screening of a film about Elvis with a live performance of some of his songs from the 1950s. The movie's called 200 Cadillacs, and it's meant to show Elvis through the eyes of the friends who knew him. The concert's by Rex & The Rockabilly Kings, and it will feature songs from early in Elvis's career.
