There is a lot about beautiful Berks County that goes unexplored, which is why it is time to consider being a tourist in your own region. The Berks County’s Best Kept Secrets Tour kicked off one week ago and will run through Nov. 19.

When you register for the self-guided tour, you will receive a guide booklet that describes 36 unique stops, which range from log cabins and Victorian mansions to farms, orchards, and antique stores. Each tour stop is different in some way, offering special gifts, refreshments, demos — it is up to the location to wow you in their own special way. You won’t know who is participating until the event.

Sign up now, because the first 2,000 people to register will receive a free goodie bag with items from the participating businesses. Tickets are only $9, so why not give it a shot, Heritage Amity Commons? Businesses will be open at least 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday for participants to enjoy.
