Noodle Eighty-Eight in Souderton: See What All the Fuss Is About, Heritage House!

According to Yelp reviewers, you can’t go wrong with the new Asian joint Noodle Eighty-Eight! Located on Broad Street in Souderton, not too far from Heritage House, this Asian fusion eatery recently celebrated its grand opening in mid-June. You’ll be welcomed by a beautiful, newly renovated interior with bright colors and elegant decor. But the food is the real showstopper here!

Start with the Szechuan dumplings or the scallion pancakes. Both rich in flavor, but not so filling that you won’t want to dig in to your main course. For entrees, Noodle Eighty-Eight serves a wide variety of (you guessed it!) noodle dishes, with an early favorite being the dan dan noodles. Other dishes range from staples like pad Thai and General Tso’s chicken to crab cakes and pork shoulder. The prices are reasonable, with a main dish running from $5.88 to $19.88. It is also BYOB, so make sure you bring some brews or a bottle of wine to complete your dining experience!

Genevieve’s Kitchen: The Flavors of Italy Are Never Too Far From Heritage Greene

Chef Genevieve grew up in a large Italian family and learned to cook from two of the best teachers around, her mother and her great aunt. It was at the elbows of these two matriarchs that she learned how to make many traditional dishes, including Italian spaghetti "gravy," or what most Americans know as spaghetti sauce. At Genevieve's Kitchen, Chef Genevieve brings the flavors from her childhood to Doylestown's State Street, not too far from Heritage Property Management Group.

Come to Genevieve's Kitchen for dinner and settle in for some of her freshly made pasta, such as the lumache. This "snail-shaped" pasta mingles with pulled Italian sausage, Tuscan kale, and a creamy ricotta cheese sauce, all dusted with pecorino cheese. You can also opt for a classic Italian entrée such as osso buco or chicken Milanese. The brunch menu at the restaurant includes everything from an Italian lox scramble to a Greek yogurt parfait accented with lemon curd, caramelized pistachios, and fresh pears.

Genevieve's Kitchen is open Tuesdays through Sundays.

Don’t Miss the Secret-Recipe Iced Tea at The Oasis

Hummus, tabouleh, and shawarma are to be expected at a Mediterranean restaurant like The Oasis, but have you experienced its iced tea yet? The popular Mediterranean and Middle Eastern eatery near Heritage House gets rave reviews for the house-brewed beverage alone, crafted according to a "secret recipe," and garnished with mint and fresh fruit.

The iced tea is the perfect sweet drink to wash down your meal—which will probably start with an order of the popular hummus or tabouleh—and end with falafel or shawarma. Order the signature London broil shawarma containing meat marinated in red wine, olive oil, and lemon juice as well as red onions and herbs. It comes stuffed inside pita bread, just like the chicken shawarma and meat-free eggplant shawarma. You can also try the spinach lasagna, the chicken kabob known as shish taouk, or the stuffed kibbe, which contains ground London broil, onion, and wheat—all deep-fried.
