Experience History near Heritage Summer Hill at Fonthill Castle

Experience Bucks County history near Heritage Summer Hill at Fonthill Castle! This Doylestown landmark was constructed by Henry Chapman Mercer as a space to show off his collection of Moravian tiles; today, the building itself might be the most interesting thing to see here. According to Fonthill's "About" page, the building blends "Medieval, Gothic, and Byzantine architectural styles," and this collection of influences makes it one of the most interesting buildings you'll see in all of Pennsylvania!

If you'd like to see it, Fonthill Castle is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon until 5 p.m. The space offers guided tours, too, and they recommend that you call to learn the daily tour schedule. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for people over age 65, $8 for people aged 6-17, and free for kids 5 and under.

Fonthill also periodically hosts fun special events, like its upcoming Fonthill Castle Beer Fest on August 29. Visit the website to find out more about this Doylestown destination!
